This site is Nicolas Chan’s personal website. Questions: mailme@neekchan.com.
Google Analytics is currently enabled by default unless you have saved a choice to disable it. It measures visits, page navigation and contact-button clicks using cookies. Enabled automatic measurements can also record scrolling, outbound links, downloads and supported search, video or form interactions. Google signals and advertising personalisation for the GA4 destination are disabled. Google Ads has a separate advertising choice. You can change your choice through “Cookie settings” on the main site. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site.
The site remembers this choice in your browser’s local storage. There is currently no automatic popup. You can review or disable Google Analytics, Google advertising, LinkedIn advertising and Meta advertising independently using “Cookie settings” beside the footer privacy link. Explicit choices are remembered; the site’s automatic defaults are not stored as consent. If you clear that storage, the current site defaults apply again. Custom pageview tracking sends selected campaign parameters with page addresses. Google’s automatic measurements can also include page and link addresses and interaction details. Please do not put personal information in URLs or site-search queries.
The Google Ads tag (AW-18521645888) is enabled by default for new visitors without saved privacy choices. Existing saved choices, including opt-outs, are respected. You can disable Google advertising independently in “Cookie settings”. When enabled, Google may receive page addresses, ad-click identifiers, referrers, IP addresses, browser details and cookies to measure ads and build remarketing audiences. The base tag records visits. Clicking Email, WhatsApp, LINE, Telegram, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads (the OnlyFans-labelled button), WeChat or Save contact sends the same contact-button conversion with a monetary value of zero. These clicks indicate interest in connecting; they do not confirm a message, conversation, follow or completed contact-card download. This site does not send email addresses or phone numbers for enhanced conversions. See Google’s advertising information.
You can disable Google advertising independently. Withdrawal updates Google’s consent settings, clears accessible _gcl_ cookies and reloads the page. This cannot retract information already sent or remove cookies on Google’s own domains.
LinkedIn’s Insight Tag is currently enabled by default for visitors without a saved choice. Existing saved choices, including opt-outs, are respected. LinkedIn advertising can be disabled independently in “Cookie settings”. The tag lets LinkedIn match eligible visits to its members to build audiences for future ads, measure advertising and provide aggregate professional insights. It does not give this site a list of named visitors or identify which of Nicolas’s contacts visited.
LinkedIn can receive the page address, referrer, IP address, browser and device details, and visit time, and may use cookies and other identifiers. Its Website Actions feature may also collect page interactions according to the ad account’s settings. This site does not configure email-based enhanced matching or send contact details to LinkedIn. See LinkedIn’s privacy policy and advertising preferences.
You can disable LinkedIn advertising through “Cookie settings”. The page reloads to unload the tag and clears accessible LinkedIn first-party cookies. This does not retract information already sent or remove cookies set on LinkedIn’s own domains. Browser cookie controls and LinkedIn’s settings govern those. Declining any optional tool does not affect site access.
Meta Pixel is enabled by default for new visitors without saved privacy choices. Existing saved choices, including opt-outs, are respected. You can disable Meta advertising independently in “Cookie settings”. When enabled, Meta receives page-view events, including navigation between Home and Blog, and may receive page addresses, referrers, IP addresses, browser details and cookie identifiers to measure ads and build advertising audiences. This site disables Pixel automatic event configuration and does not configure advanced matching or Conversions API. See Meta’s privacy policy.
You can disable Meta independently in “Cookie settings”. Withdrawal reloads the page and clears accessible _fbp and _fbc cookies; it cannot retract data already sent or remove Meta’s third-party cookies.
PostHog measures page views and interactions using memory-based identifiers. Session replay is temporarily enabled to help diagnose the site experience, including its animated canvas. Cloudflare Web Analytics is configured separately through the hosting service. The privacy choices above control Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn and Meta independently; they do not control these existing services.
Contact buttons open other services, display a QR code or copy contact information. Those services have their own privacy practices. Fonts and icons use external providers. The animation library and avatar assets are hosted with this site.
Analytics reports help improve the site. A contact-button click is not treated as proof that a message was sent.
